In addition to the institutions already mentioned, the Muslenplatz offers plenty of space for encounters.

The entrances to some municipal offices, such as the City Library or the Museum of Local History and Clocks, can be reached via the square. An ice-cream parlor offers its visitors delicious refreshments and the various stores invite you to stroll around.

More than 1,000 participants of the most different cultures, 6 stages, 1 celebration, this is 'the long Schwenninger culture night'.

Every first Saturday in July, from 6 p.m. onwards, the city center of Schwenningen is transformed into a large promenade and adventure mile. The Night of Culture becomes a big stage for the creative potential in the city - and everyone joins in the celebrations. The Long Schwenningen Culture Night is a festival by citizens for citizens. The event partners and participants contribute free of charge to offer a colorful, exciting program. The end of the evening is marked by an impressive fireworks display, which can be seen all the way to the surrounding communities.

Weekly market

The weekly markets take place every Wednesday and Saturday from 6.30 to 12.45 o'clock both in Villingen on the Münsterplatz and in Schwenningen on the Muslenplatz. During the winter time the Wednesday market starts at 7.30 am.

The markets offer customers a wide range of products. From fruit, vegetables, sausages and meat products to flowers and seedlings and fresh eggs from the farm - the local traders supply the people in VS with fresh home-grown products.

Old Parsonage

The old parsonage dates back to 1747 and was extended between 1835 and 1837 and renovated in 1980. In the course of this renovation, the impressive half-timbered building was uncovered and restored.

The old vicarage is the oldest building in Schwenningen subsequent to the protestant town church and is under monumental protection.
