Retail & Gastronomy

Attractive retail and lively gastronomy are the pulse of the city

Today, attractive and lively city centers are not only a feel-good factor for citizens, but also a location factor for our companies in the competition for urgently needed skilled workers.

In order to make our inner cities liveable for the future, the city of Villingen-Schwenningen has developed and established a retail trade concept to protect the inner cities. This serves the targeted steering of the retail trade (see assortment list and inner city demarcation pdf). The aim is to ensure that the attractiveness of the inner cities is increased. Short distances and diversity!

Whether you are looking for a small retail, gastronomy area or, as an investor, large areas, we will be happy to advise you personally.

It is important, whether for large or small areas, before renting or purchasing, to always ensure the permissibility of use. In order to ensure a smooth start of your business operations, please also observe the statutes applicable to the respective location (advertising statutes, special use statutes, design statutes pdf) or building regulations. We will provide you with information.

Villingen-Schwenningen is a twin city with two city centers, each with a very different character. Villingen historically and touristically. Schwenningen modern, as a university location with its origin in the Neckar river. Both large districts are connected by a prospering central area between the two districts with large companies, the large hospital Villingen-Schwenningen, large trade, such as the Schwarzwald-Baar-Center, service providers and leisure facilities.
